Another 15 miles.

As I mentioned yesterday, we stayed in a trail not on the Camino Frances. It was a sleepy little town. We stayed in whats referred to as a rural house. The owners were a husband and wife couple. It was clear the husband marched to his own drummer.

Walking sans pair of gringos.

Today, I walked alone. Molli can’t seem to catch a break. She has suffered with a leg issue for several days. She struggled with it a lot yesterday. On top of that, last night she was up what seemed like every hour. She picked up a stomach bug somewhere. Her stomach had been off for the last few days, and culminated with last nights bathroom bonanza.

Half way!

Today we crossed the half way point mileage wise! We have walked just over 245 miles. We just finished day 17.

It some regards, it feels like we just arrived yesterday. In other cases it feels like we have been in Spain for months.

18 and 15 miles.

I didn’t blog yesterday. I needed an evening to relax. Yesterday’s hike was 18 miles after a 20 miler the day before. We were all experiencing fatigue. Overuse injuries are becoming more prominent and requiring constant attention.

I know you’re dying to know what happened after yesterday’s blog. Emotions were high. The text from both of our blogs (Mollis and mine) read like a soap opera. The short of it, we made up. As I wrote my blog and put to paper all the things going on, I realized it wasn’t worth carrying around any sort of negative emotion about the situation.
